In winter of 2047, two close friends, Mikako and Noboru, are separated by space when Mikako is selected as a Select Member of the United Nations Space Army. The two continue to communicate across interplanetary and interstellar space via email on their mobile phones. However, as Mikako goes farther out in the solar system on board the Lysithea spaceship, it takes increasingly longer for them to receive each other’s email, soon realizing that they’re in a time warp separating them even more.
